Louisville becomes the center of the party leading to the most exciting two minutes in sports, more commonly known as kentucky derby.
Some festivities like the star-studded Barnstable Brown Derby Eve Gala are exclusive, invite-only affairs, but there’s more than enough confetti, bourbon and dance music to go around.
This list of parties includes just a few of the Kentucky Derby season events you can buy a ticket to in Louisville while supporting important causes and charities. From late April through the wee hours of Kentucky Derby Day on May 7, there’s something for everyone.
From low-key outdoor parties offering family-friendly activities to celebrity-inspired gala events, there are so many options you might not be able to choose just one.
Here is a list of Kentucky Derby parties, in chronological order, you can in fact attend:
Kentucky Derby Museum 35th Annual Gala
WHAT: Offering cocktails and appetizers at The Mansion at Churchill Downs Racecoursefollowed by a seated dinner, dessert and a concert at the Kentucky Derby Museum. This is an annual fundraising event for the museum.

WHEN: Friday April 29 from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m.
COST: $550 for a dinner ticket at The Mansion. Post Gala ticket, $150 (begins at 9 p.m. at the Kentucky Derby Museum)
WHAT: Featuring the Isley Brothers with Ronald Isley and Ernest Isley. Dress code is cocktail or black tie. The gala is an official event of the Kentucky Derby Festival and the first fundraiser for the league.

WHEN: Wednesday, May 4, 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.
COST: $350 per person, including dinner, drinks and a reserved floor seat for the concert. Tables for eight are also available
WHAT: What happens when you cross over Thursday night Kentucky Derby Week with Cinco De Mayo? Cinco de Derby will feature one of the hottest DJs in the world, DJ Vice. According to the sponsors of this event, it looks like one hell of a party, Hornitos Tequila, Maker’s Mark, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Happy Dad and Red Bull.

Finish Line Gala
WHAT: This year’s Finish Line Gala features Jeffery Osborne and special guest troupe Regina from Louisville. The party includes food and a cash bar, cigar lounge, valet parking, goodie bags, and dancing. Profits go to Ukrainian immigrants.

WHEN: Thursday, May 5, from 6 p.m. to midnight.
COST: $200 per person or $1800 table of 10
Celebrate with Steve Wilson and special guest Jack Harlow
WHAT:Hotel Museum 21c founder Steve Wilson and special guest Grammy-nominated rapper and Louisville native Jack Harlow will host a party in the hotel’s Atrium while raising funds to help rebuild Mayfield, Kentucky across the Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund.

American Lung Association’s 28th Annual Derby Eve Gala

Hillybilly Outfield 20th Annual Derby
WHAT: The weekend family party includes games, food drinks, a silent auction, live music, camping and a corn hole tournament. Kentucky Derby coverage and more. Product benefit twisted pink.

Rockin’ Derby Eve
WHAT: Tented garden party with food and drinks, including gourmet bites, fresh desserts and several open bars leading to a country music performer jake owen performing at the Old Forester’s Paristown Hall. Product benefit Norton Healthcare Foundation Derby Divas and Thoroughbred Charities of America.

WHEN: Friday May 6, 7:30 p.m. Concert at 10 p.m.
COST: $850 per person. Only 1,000 tickets will be sold.
Silk Derby Eve Bash
WHAT: Dance the night away to the famous 12-piece West Coast band, “Your Generation in Concert.” Enjoy a cigar bar, a Derby selfie station, Graeter’s ice cream carts, “Silks Smash” and Woodford Reserve, “Woodford Spire.” proceeds to profit Operation Open Arms.

WHEN: Friday, May 6, 7:30 p.m.
COST: General admission tickets are $100 and include food and drink. Tickets to the VIP tent are $200 per person and include general admission plus a private bar, food station, and personalized Silks Bash bag. Tickets; VIP, $200 per person; general admission $100.
Unbridled Derby Eve Gala
WHAT: One of Louisville’s most famous nights during Kentucky Derby Eve. Held in the Grand Ballroom of the Galt House Hotel, this party attracts notable figures from the worlds of entertainment, music, sports, politics and horse racing. The evening includes a red carpet, cocktails, dinner and a dance party. Proceeds benefit many charities including Blessings in a backpack and the Jennifer Lawrence Arts Fund at Fund for the Arts.

43rd Annual Derby Breakfast
WHAT: Historic Homes Foundation of Louisville, Ky. Kicks off Kentucky Derby Day with Local Source proud kentucky brunch with open bar and live music by Electric Strings. Presented by blade and bow this event benefits the Historic Houses Foundation.
