Huyett welcomes Scott Heemstra, the new Vice President of Operations, and Rob Hammatt, CMA, the new Corporate Controller.

Huyett is proud to announce the addition of Scott Heemstra as Vice President of Operations and fifth member of the management team. Heemstra began his twenty-nine-year career at Diamond Vogel, Inc. – one of the nation’s leading paint and coatings manufacturers – after graduating with a degree in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Iowa State University. . His time at Diamond Vogel included a range of roles with increasing responsibilities, where he was eventually promoted to Vice President of Operations. He has also been heavily involved in community boards, commissions and trade associations in the paint and coatings industry. In his new role at Huyett, Heemstra will develop day-to-day operational strategies, manage projects and support Huyett’s manufacturing facilities. This integral addition to Huyett’s leadership team will help the company move forward with future growth and expansion.

Heemstra says his choice to join the Huyett team was largely influenced by the corporate culture of communities that build community. “Huyett is a place where I can draw on the culture and success of its past to guide the innovations of the future. I’m thrilled to be able to not only develop business solutions, but also engage as a leader with a company that gives back to its community. It was important for me to find a place that matches these two priorities.

Huyett also welcomes Rob Hammatt, CMA, as the new Corporate Controller. Hammatt’s education includes a Bachelor of Science in Finance and an MBA in Finance and Accounting, which propelled him into a distinguished career as a Certified Management Accountant with a specialization in cost accounting, strategic planning and management reporting. As a consultant and management accountant, Hammatt has used the concept of integrating financial and cost accounting to elevate the financial IQ of organizations. When asked what he was looking forward to contributing as a new member of the Huyett team, Hammatt said:

“As a finance professional, I know how crucial it is to understand the whole operation of the business to effectively manage the finances of the organization. This level of understanding comes from a corporate culture that encourages transparency. I’m excited to start this trip in Huyett.

Huyett CEO Timothy O’Keeffe notes that with Heemstra and Hammatt joining the team, the company is ready to start expanding in some key areas.

“Together, these appointments present a new leadership paradigm. We are on the verge of some exciting expansions, all of which will consume valuable capital and resources. These gentlemen will help us through these exciting but complicated times. In our selection process, we were specifically looking for servant leaders who not only build systems and processes, but more importantly, build culture and develop talent. They tick all the boxes. »

Scott Longfellow, Huyett’s new COO, further added, “I’m thrilled that Scott and Rob are enhancing our business capability to work on the business rather than the business as we continue a course fast-expanding regular.”
