TORONTO, April 06, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Hylands International Holdings Inc. (TSXV: HIH; “Hyland“or the”Company”) today announced changes to its Board of Directors and management team.
Hang Peng, Tianxiang Sun, Guoquing Li and Zhengfu Zhu have resigned as directors of the Company. Hang Peng also resigned as the company’s chairman and CEO, and Zebin Yang resigned as the company’s secretary. Subject to regulatory approval, Mr. Rana Vig and Ms. Marie-Josée have been appointed to the Company’s Board of Directors alongside outgoing director Jing Peng, and Robert Suttie has been appointed as President, Chief Executive Officer and Company Secretary. Mr. Victor Hugo, the current Chief Financial Officer, remains in this position. All of the current directors are independent within the meaning of Canadian securities laws and each has been appointed as a member of the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. The Company would like to thank the outgoing Directors and Officers for their contributions to the Company during their respective terms.
Mr. Robert Suttie is currently President of Marrelli Support Services Inc. (“MSSI”), a national provider of accounting and financial reporting services to public and private companies in Canada. Mr. Suttie has over twenty years of accounting and advisory experience and is regularly involved in IPOs, business combinations and spin-off and asset spin-off transactions. Mr. Suttie is the Chief Financial Officer of a number of smaller public companies listed on Canadian stock exchanges, as well as several unlisted companies.
Mr. Rana Vig has over 30 years of business experience and since 2010 has served as a director and/or senior executive of a number of public companies in Canada, including Blue Lagoon Resources Inc., where he is currently director and president and CEO. Mr. Vig is also active in several charitable and community organizations in Canada as a director and advisor.
Ms. Marie-Josée Audet, CPA, MBA is a Senior Financial Analyst at MSSI where she has provided financial services primarily to smaller public companies for the past thirteen years. Prior to joining MSSI, Ms. Audet worked in public accounting where she acquired audit experience primarily with junior exploration companies. Ms. Audet holds a master’s degree in business administration with a specialization in the management of small and medium-sized enterprises.
Concurrent with the leadership changes, amounts owed to former directors, officers and other service providers of approximately $325,000 were extinguished at no cost to the Company.
